Program Description

This month-long excursion to the Caribbean island of Jamaica offers students the opportunity to earn course credit while engaging in an education-based service learning project at the Shortwood Teachers College in Kingston. Tutoring local students in math and reading skills while living fully immersed in Jamaican culture, students gain a global perspective on teaching, educational issues and multicultural awareness.
