Parents, Family and Friends of Study Abroad Participants

Your student is embarking on an academic experience and an adventure that lasts a lifetime!

Study abroad is often a learning experience for the participants' family and friends, especially if it's the first time the student has lived far away from home.

Oftentimes, during the experience abroad, students are even more independent than when they are at college. Whether your student involves you in the decision making process, or later when he or she is sharing travel stories with parents, family and friends back home, you can provide essential support.

If you have questions about academic and financial requirements for students who spend a semester or year abroad, please contact the Office of International Affairs.
